Truly one of the best cultural deals around! Every year my husband and I buy a festival pass and spend the entire weekend immersed in films about Africa and the diaspora. They are always debuting young, first-time directors and bring many of the filmmakers in person. Besides the film festival, there are African vendors, a fashion show, African food, and other activities celebrating The Continent.
