My sister has Parkinson’s and is treated at SIH. She complains constantly about shortness of breath and pain but the neroulogist that’s treating her does nothing to help. Go to Chicago or somewhere else for treatment. SIH is a disappointment!
I am very disappointed in the care here. I am self pay and on several blood pressure medicines. I went in for a visit. All last year the same provider filled my scripts for the whole year with 90 day refills. The physician or PA told me that if I didn’t get more testing I couldn’t get my scripts refilled. I understand she might think she’s helping me. But I told her I can’t afford more testing. I told her I would pay for the blood panel that cost me $500 out of pocket but that was all I could do. Julia S. from the billing department suggested in one of her emails that if I don’t like how they do things I’m welcome to go somewhere else. I would offer the same advice to anybody considering going to any SIH associated hospital - Go somewhere else. My insurance company got it on a recorded line that all the care I received was preventative and both sides agreed that my insurance company is responsible for paying the bill.
