To have your child come home, excited about school everyday; to know that the knowledge they are gaining, is making them a success as a teen as well as a successful & productive adult; to know your child is a productive part of this community as well as learning how to apply their efforts to make a difference in the world; to know your child will finish High School confident and equipped to take on whatever career or challenge in front of them, are the very reasons we love SAEL and entrust them with our child's future.
So glad I had a chance to visit the remarkable community of students and educators at SAEL. There is a spirit of curiosity, intention, and adventure at this school that is inspirational, and having class outside in the Sierra sunshine was wonderful. Thanks for hosting me!

We feel very fortunate to have found a high school like SAEL. Mia`s transition from 8 years of homeschooling to a public high school was effortless. Like our homeschool, SAEL emphasizes and supports a LOVE of learning, a LOVE of adventure and a LOVE of community and service. The kids and families are welcoming, accepting of differences and truly excited to be a part of this new venture. SAEL was an answer to prayer for our family.
Mak has gone beyond "surviving" High School. She "thriving" in life as a result of the experiences and opportunities she has gotten from SAEL. The love of learning that was instilled in her through home education was snugffed out in traditional high school. I am so grateful to say that she now encounters life with a "what can I master here?" outlook.
This is the best school I've ever been to!! The teachers are awesome!
