We have been coming to Seibken's every summer since the early 1970's. Sunday mornings (race day) we would enjoy the fantastic Traditional Breakfast in the screened porch, often times only a table or two from Paul Newman or Mario Andretti's crew to name just a few. First place we had ever been served fresh strawberries with sour cream and brown sugar! Been going to Siebkens my entire life... some of my happiest memories surround Road America and both the big and little bar... ask some of us who were kids in tha 1970's about the little playground that used to sit next to TLOB... warms my heart every time I go.
This has been my adult Disney Land for 30 years. I do miss the old bathroom with the chicken and the tape measure, though. Or the guy that would pass out on the bar and patrons would fill his hair with skewer sticks. Or the naked British guy dancing on the sandwich bar. Or, getting a newby to climb on top of the gazebo and "spin the cow". Or packing corner workers and racers in the dorm rooms like cord wood. Or the time I got insulted by David Hobbs for racing a Fiesta, "Take up tennis, golf is good". Or the time...
If it's good enough for Tommy Kendall it's good enough for me... legendary place!
