Garret was great! The food and the service was fantastic. He was responsive and clear about what to expect. Everything was delicious and well seasoned. It’s hard to even choose a favorite dish since they were all so delicious in their own way. The seasoning was a good amount to highlight and infuse flavor, but not overpower the taste of the dish. Last night, we attended the CalPoly Chinese banquet catered by Sichuan Kitchen SLO, and I was in awe, not only by the high quality and meticulousness of the eight dishes, but by the sheer quantity of food. Chef Garrett and a team of six CalPoly volunteers fed over 500 hungry guests. All the food came out perfectly—warm, delicious, crafted with care and authenticity. And when I interacted with Garrett, he was calm and professional, not feeling the pressure of feeding that many demanding guests. Impressed is an understatement.
