I had a brokerage agreement with SI Yachts and was assured that the buyer would cover the cost of bottom paint prior to closing. SI Yachts gave me approval to move forward with the work and guaranteed that payment would be covered. Unfortunately, the sale fell through, and SI Yachts has since refused to reimburse me for the costs—even though they authorized the work and made a clear commitment. I’m extremely disappointed with how this was handled. I expected more integrity and accountability from a professional brokerage.
After encountering a steering problem in NY harbor, Staten Island Yacht Sales was highly recommended for repair. I understand why—their knowledge, expertise and thoughtful customer care was the best service experience I’ve had and that includes some top marinas on the East Coast. Plus, they were able to get a customized part from Europe, when others claimed it was unavailable. Service Manager Greg, Jaime and the entire staff are true professionals, plus they made us feel like family during our stay
