In my 40's, for some reason I felt that I needed to get back to my roots and start crafting again! I took beginners knitting and weaving classes at Shuttles, Spindles and Skeins. Oh my, excellent teachers who provided clear instructions with patience! I'm back in business, now I visit the store for supplies, books and ideas for future projects!! I continue to take more classes, seems you can't stop once you've started!
Amazing Fiber Heaven.... Shuttles is the perfect place for anyone interested in Fiber Arts or Basketry. They offer a full range or Fiber Tool from spinning wheels to looms to reeds and always have an array of classes for the beginner to the very advanced. There are always highly experienced people there to assist you in your craft, or help get started. Shuttles is also very accessible friendly. There is plenty of room to move about and everything is easy to reach. It is one of my most favorite places in the world! LR
I'm just a beginner and I had a great experience taking a tapestry class with David Johnson, who supplied basic but effective looms. There is an abundance of supplies, resources and friendliness here. Excellent for everyone interested in the fibre arts.
I just started weaving after 40 years of hard knitting! The employees here are fantastic help, took lots of time to show me around, and guided me to some books and tools! Can't wait to go back and explore all the YARN!
The staff are so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! The yarn and book selections are really impressive. A+
Great selection and friendly staff! They have pretty much anything a fiber artist would need. I have also heard wonderful things about the instruction. If I lived closer, I would be a store and classroom regular.
