Poor Service, Worse Food – Shula's is by far the worse resturant that I have visited. The food lacked flavor. The service was slow and poor. The food was overpriced. There is no reason to return to this place. Stay away, save your money, buy some gas.
Sour service and dirty pigskin – This restaurant prides itself on being a classy steakhouse. Well, there is nothing classy about receiving a menu on dirty pigskin. I was very disappointed with my entire dining experience. Coming from Los Angeles, I am used to swank steakhouses such as Mastro's Steakhouse and Morton's. money wasted – My family and I (we have two young children) was going to go to Ruth Chris for lunch but they was not open so my husband suggested shula's When we first walked in the men at the desk looked at us like why would you bring kids in here? They said "do you want a highchair or somrthing" Then they werent that busy but they sat us right in the middle of the room surrounded by what looked like lunch meetings. Way Overpriced! – As a former Chef, I love a good restaraunt and I'm willing to pay for it. At Shulas, the atmosphere is nice in a darly elegant way, but they nickel and dime you for everything. Order your main entree, and any kind of side item is drastically over-priced and charged to you. Upon eating with a bottle of wine, the bill was a little shocking. I'm not afraid to spend, but for the money, I've eaten at much better places for a lot less.
No Small Plates Here – Finally had a chance to go as a business perq. Mixed feelings about it. Definitely more of a male oriented restaurant - no surprise. First, as they claim their beef is about as good as I have ever had. They should be commended for achieving this quality level, kudos to those Angus, too! Poor Steak and worst service. – I have eaten at 3 diffrent Shula's and found not one worth my time. They all produced poor service and cold food. Save your money unless you feel a need to get upset.
undercook steak and poor service – We went there for our anniversary. We had ordered new york steak cooked medium well. It came back undercooked less than medium. The waiter asked if I want to send it back I said yes. My husband just said he didn't need to even though he ordered it medium. The watier took my steak back and left my husband steak there with the side dish of spinach and I had to watch him eat. Time he finished and my steak came.
