Unfortunately, this physician does not seem to know much about adrenal insufficiency and gave negligent information to my elderly mother. Fortunately, my mother was able to consult with two additional Endocrinologists who both confirmed her diagnosis and she got the help she needed. Had she followed the treatment plan from Dr Kaur, she very likely would have suffered a sentinel event. Think twice before seeking treatment from this physician, it might be life altering.
We were thankful to find Dr. Kaur. Our endocrinologist retired after 40 years. There are not enough doctors with this specialty in Pima County. With the terrible reimbursements from insurance companies, especially those who are for-profit Medicare insurers, I am surprised anyone wants to practice any form of healthcare. Dr. Kaur was pleasant and knowledgeable. She spent all the time that was needed, and we received a return call answering a question within 4 hours.
I think the main issue is she has too many patients. TMC should probably hire another endocrinologist for this office. She told me I didn’t need any follow up ultrasounds after my thyroid cancer was removed which is a standard of care. I went twice but decided to switch endocrinologists and I feel that I will get better care and the care that I need following thyroid cancer.
Stay away from this doctor and staff. Very unprofessional. When I asked that they give me lab results copies they decided that I was not worthy of their services! They cancelled me out of continuing services there. I asked that they repeat a diabetic A1C test that I believed was not accurate as it was a finger prick rather than full blood draw.
