Here’s to a big shout out to the Louisiana Department of Transportation for the ongoing IH-20 WB maintenance program. (Not)! Beginning at the Mississippi State Line, they should have issued motorists hard hats and 5-point safety harness seatbelts to wear on the inside of their vehicles for not maintaining the jointed concrete pavement and bridge approaches along this route, not to mention the potholes, which are many, deep, and difficult to dodge while traveling alongside the heavy truck traffic. We are new to the area. The second we said that the gals in the office were quick to help. We were overwhelmed in such a good way, with information and things to do and see. It was amazing. I would suggest if you are new to Shreveport and Bossier to make this your first stop. Thanks ladies!!!

Ms. Betty explained to me the history of the city, her experience living here, and popular spots in town. I leave tomorrow afternoon with a greater appreciation for the city- and the unique history of Shreveport. I look forward to returning to the visitors center upon my return.
