I went to see Dr. Shoughary a while ago. Aside from the fact that he didn’t even make eye contact with me so to speak, he doesn’t make you feel comfortable at all. Rude to be blunt. Told me I needed surgery for glaucoma and that he does it in office. Pushed that I needed to book the surgery before I left. Something just didn’t sit right with me, so I went to a different ophthalmologist in Ottawa for another opinion. I specifically asked for them to check if there are any signs of glaucoma. This doctor is absolutely the best. A very thorough exam with time spent explaining the results. He has a lot of experience and it shows. I was very comfortable under his care.
An excellent doctor. Explains everything thing in layman’s terms. Friendly staff. His office is often full with patients…….That’s a good thing. I don’t mind waiting because he doesn’t rush you in and out and makes you feel like you’re the most important patient. He takes his time with each patient which can sometimes lead to a longer wait time. Again, I don’t mind waiting my turn.
