Service cost increase w/o notice. Have had my pontoon that I purchased from Shorts serviced for 3+ years w/o problems. Wasn’t cheap. I just received my invoice for pulling, winterization, wrapping, etc. Bill increased 42% over prior year for essentially the same service. Called service dept and was told, basically, costs have gone up for everything. Can’t wait to see what it will cost to get the boat out of storage. For this size price increase should have had some notification before the fact.

Got the complete runaround by this company.. If they did try to communicate, they spoke down to me as if I couldn't comprehend a thing they were saying. I couldnt' get a straight answer as to what was wrong with my jet ski. Although, when I went inside the building the mechanic outside explained it all to my friend (who was a male). They did work before we talked about it, and I agreed upon it. Twice they tried to fix it and couldn't They even charged me for a battery after I had told them, the battery was new. This is a terrible company to deal with. This company has terrible customer service skills. They don't care about their customers whatsoever and talk trash behind their backs. Stay far away from these people.

Waste of time and money, just ended up going somewhere else to have the engine fixed.

I have had numerous problems with the Service Department of this establishment. In 2018, the lost the cover for our boat, which was launched at the end of May 2018. They did find it until August 2018, causing our instrument panel to be unprotected for months, which led to instrument problems. Our lights would not come on unless we pulled the fuse and messed with it until it worked and the depth finder was not reliable either. In 2019, they supposedly fixed the depth finder, but the display shows that it's not even connected.... read more

We purchased our 23.5’ BayLiner from Short’s Marine during June 2017. This boat purchase was to celebrate two events, my birthday, and in keeping with a promise I made to myself while spending 8 months eating sand during Desert Shield/Storm. I vowed always, when practical, to have available some type of boat . However, we did not realize this purchase would serve as the worst experience in our 30+ years boating and boat ownership.
