While it has a wide range of workout equipment, it's got to be the filthiest gym I've ever been in, military or civilian. Everything is dirty, grimy, dusty, the machines, floors, bars, etc. Most of the benches have tears w/tape. And did I mention... no AC! Insane. The gyms in Afg, Manas, & Kuwait were better than this.
I am writing this review not to criticize the staff (who seem not to be able to resolve any of this) but in hopes that the right official sees this, so something can be done. This is based on about two years of observation and talking to numerous members. This gym has the potential to be a great gym if it were not for three major deficiencies: 1. HVAC 2. Maintenance 3. Half of the gym is closed right now. 18Jun2026. Tried to play basketball with my son and it was always exercise classes or some type of unit PT. Tried 3 times in two days and never got to use the court so we gave up.
The AC in the main lifting area is hardly ever working, and it's been that way for several months. At least 4 weeks in a row it has gotten up to 90 degrees and feels like a sauna.
It’s embarrassing how bad this place is for SOCOM and CENTCOM HQ. AC is always broker or struggling. 25% of Machines and equipment is broken or should be repaired. Main areas are dirty. The only positive is the locker room is clean. Clean the sauna! It’s disgusting and a health hazard.
