A home away from home. The director of care Leigh is an amazing person. The staffs are very caring, accommodating and detailed in every word. Everyone live like family and bonds so well. I learnt a lot about humanity, empathy and care in a practical form here in Shoreview. SHOREVIEW RETIREMENT HOME= A HOME WHERE THE INTEREST OF THE RESIDENT ARE PARAMOUNT
Do not use this place for respite care !!! My wife went there for a scheduled two week stay , following major surgery . After 2 days she called me and said get me out of this dump ! The place is not equipped to deal with the situation , and staff not knowledgeable in how to deal with the situation . They are severely under-staffed ,and my wife was left on her own most of the day , awful ! I used to work in a prison , and people in prison have better rooms and better food . I learned the Values of the People being in their most Vulnerable times and how to help them with an Amazing Preceptor Sandra McCarthy she Helped me Learn Skills and taught me many Tips and Tricks of being a Psw.
