Great heavily treed pathway for a walk during a hot summer day. Benches are spread out perfectly for a rest on the path. Good length for a routine walk, 1.5 hour roundtrip walk.
It's been so hot these past few days in Edmonton that it's impossible to hike in the mid-day. So my husband and I got up really early and drove to Elk Island. Hardly anyone in the park at 7 AM. These photos were taken over two days. The first day was bright and sunny while the second day was overcast. Note the red glow of the sun.
Awesome autumn view there. Highly recommended to go for an afternoon Trail. The shoreline trail is a 6+km one way long.
