My experience at Shore Point was deeply disturbing and raised serious concerns about unethical treatment practices, coercion, and what appeared to be patient brokering. The interventionist who brought me there, whom I later learned was paid on a commission basis for admissions and continued stays, repeatedly encouraged my family to create “leverage” to force me into treatment. My experience with this program was extremely disappointing and, at times, unprofessional. The admissions staff member, Walker, who handles both intake and discharge, made my exit process unnecessarily difficult and negative. I was required to pay for my own transportation to the airport basically due to Walker not wanting to “deal” with the situation he sent other staff members out to tell me to book my own Uber, despite being told it would be included. I believe honest reviews are extremely important, especially when it comes to treatment centers where people are in vulnerable situations and trusting staff with their health and safety. My experience with Shorepoint was mixed, but it included a very serious medical incident that people should be aware of. This facility is great! Its very clean, very clean, the patients are very welcoming and the staff are very nice. I've enjoyed my stay here at Shore Point and I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a helping hand.
