Just bought a marlin 60 model .22 at another location. I took it to this range for the very first time to shoot. I had problems from rounds I had purchased at a gun show, they jammed with every shot. The staff at The Gun Emporium did everything they could to help fix the issue with my gun, when they didn't have to. I had not purchased my gun there nor the ammo!!! Great experience – Went to Shooters Station for the first time this week and had avery pleasant experience. I was looking for a gun specifically for my wife. The staff was very professional, helpful, experienced and listened to exactly what I was looking for. After looking at several guns we bought the STI Electra. What a great looking gun. Was pretty good... – During my military service, I would come home on leave and really enjoyed shooting at this range. The quality was superior for indoor lanes and they have a great selection of firearms. I even bought a very nice Sig P220 there and took it back with me for use on tour overseas. Shooters Station is a great place to shoot Shooter's Station is one of the friendliest gun shops I have ever been in, so I don't know where the negative comments are coming from. Their indoor pistol range is a blessing in these hot Summer months, and the sales people are courteous and knowledgeable. The only time I have ever seen any of these guys get stern with a customer is when someone is being unsafe, and the customer is aware they are being unsafe. Shooter's Station in my opinion is the nicest indoor pistol range in the Houston area. I have been going there for years and have always been treated super. The indoor range is a must during the hot Summer months, and all of the staff are friendly and knowledgable. I have read some negative reviews of this place in the past, but I have never encountered this. Go and see for yourself.
Don't know how they stay in business This place always carries a good stock of ammo, guns and accessories. Their indoor, air-conditioned range is very convenient if the weather is inclement or unsatisfactory, and the charges are reasonable. The automated targets are also very convenient, and the spacing is just right - not too cramped, unlike some places where you get hot shells bouncing back onto you. Don't Go – I'm an experienced shooter and licensed NRA instructor. These guys are giving advice to beginners that are down right dangerous. Additionally, they are rude to people. It's not a very welcome environment. Also, they are expensive. To shoot is cost $12 dollars an hour. That's not bad but even with two shooters using the same stall it was $24. Most places give a substantial discount if you're using the same stall. Not this place. So if you do go and are shooting with two shooters, just get two different stalls. It's... read more
