Four of us went to Shondiz on Saturday evening to dine. The food seemed good until later when all of us got indigestion by the time we got home. The reason was possibly too much meat tenderizer! Also, the chicken kababs had very unusual waxy texture! When asked for the bill, the server presented his hand held electronic ticket showing ONLY the total which was $206.26. Great food, fast and friendly service, love it!
I was very disappointed with this restaurant. The food did not taste like authentic Iranian food at all. The rice looked like saffron rice, but it seemed like it was only colored, and I could not taste or see real saffron in it. The koobideh kebab did not taste good and did not seem to have enough meat in the mix. The beef bakhtiari was also very disappointing, and the beef had an unpleasant taste.
