The best meal we had in Charleston. The uni toastettes and Toro rib skewers were actually my favorite. We also had tuna, edamame, chicken fried rice, sashimi and I can't even remember what else. Everything was fabulous!!
Absolutely Fantastic Find — Shokudô is Now Our Family Favorite! We popped into Shokudô on a Sunday evening with our young family and no reservation, and they happily accommodated us right away. I wanted to like this place more because the atmosphere is great, the bartender was friendly, and the hamachi crudo was excellent. Unfortunately, the yakitori was a major disappointment. We ordered the yakitori skewer set, and nearly every skewer was underwhelming. Even worse, they were served lukewarm instead of coming out hot off the grill. We absolutely loved everything about this dinner. The food was fantastic, the ambience lovely, and our waitress was just a dear. Highly recommend!
