Approximately 18 months ago Dr. Brent Shoji, Gastrointestinal and General Surgery, removed a large, benign hemorrhoid. He stated at the time that a polyp may form as a result of the surgery, A polyp did, in fact, subsequently form and on December 17, 2024, I went into Dr. Shoji's office to have the growth removed. Not only is Dr Shoji an excellent doctor but he is such a nice human being. He has a great bedside manner. It was such a positive experience having him as my doctor. I recommend him to everyone.

Takes a LOT to impress me and Dr. Shoji IS and was impressive from the get-go. Very thorough in his probing queries and very focused in his examination and explanations inclusive of providing self-drawn visuals of the relevant issues being discussed. A professional in all respects and a physician, par excellence. Doesn’t get any better!

Dr. Shoji is the best . I am a retired nurse from BWH of 45 years and know a fantastic surgeon when I see one . I have had 2 procedures with him , both done at the Faulkner. I cannot say enough about his caring manner, expertise , and response to phone calls. He takes time to explain thoroughly all aspects of care and never rushes you . As I said before he is the best .
