I had colonoscopy with Shoba Mendu on June 30. I was so disappointed with her. Before the procedure started she came up to me and just said “I’m Dr Mendu” then left. After the procedure she didn’t even speak to me to tell me about my colonoscopy. The nurse told me I have to eat high fiber diet and that’s it and told me I have a little diverticulitis. Dr Mendu was the first gastroenterologist I saw for IBS. At first she was very nice and understanding. She did a lot of testing and a colonoscopy and endoscopy. She put me on a medication for IBS which was a miracle drug for me. It helped control my symptoms so well. Dr Mendu's bedside manner began changing over the next few visits, however. Wish I could leave 0 stars. I was referred to Dr. Mendu because of a coughing issue I was having.. STILL having because of acid reflux & because I’m unable to swallow without choking. I’ve been dealing with this issue for going on two years now and after all the money and time spent, she told me that she couldn’t help me.
