Dr. Shnayder removed a large adenoma that 2 other ENT groups wouldn't touch because it was too complicated. I am forever grateful for her knowledge, skill and courage to do what others could not. She is a clear communicator and told me exactly what to expect post op. She is bright, compassionate and has a good bedside manner. Her office staff and the residents she mentors are excellent. I highly recommend this Doctor.
If I had it all to do over, i wouldn't have stepped a foot in KU. My surgery was a nightmare leaving me with excruciating pain. A relatively short surgery took many more hours (although not put in my surgical notes). I was not repositioned as I should have been. I have followed up with this surgeon and her office to be told there is nothing wrong, living in this much pain is not normal. I was diagnosed with stage III cancer 9 years ago and I'm alive because of the care of my surgeon Dr Lisa Shnayder and staff at KU DEPT OF OTOLARYNGOLOGY.
Dr. Lisa Shnayder removed Melanoma mass and Parotid gland and Mass from left cheek.All went well with no facial nerve damage. The Melanoma returned after two years or so , so next week we do it all over again. Two year previous to that , Dr Cosette performed a Parotidectomy on right cheek. Some nerve damage which showed as a drooping left lower lip which has nearly gone away. He did not feel confidant in during last surgery , so he reffered me to Dr. Shnayder.
