The fried whiting is my favorite by far!! The batter is perfection!! The yams are so delicious as well but the fried whiting is like nothing I ever tasted 1000/10 I highly recommend
Damn, the food was outstanding!!!! This guy should have his own restaurant in the big city. I have tried soul food from the west to the east.. This was well worth the visit from San Diego, CA
Got a platter here and was super impressed. Going to come back for the fried chicken, shrimp, mash potatoes and collard greens🤙
On our visit to Marist University we visited Shirley’s Soul Food. My wife chatted with the owner and she was very nice. They talked about their birthdays and their mom’s. The food was absolutely amazing and my wife actually got a little emotional when we were reviewing the food because she said that Shirley’s Soul Food taste like home for her.
