Outstanding Experience Above and Beyond Service After a very disappointing experience elsewhere, I arrived at this clinic hoping they might be able to help. I had gone to Laverty in Sutherland at 7:00am for blood tests and, after waiting until 8:30am with dozens of other patients and no staff arriving, I was forced to leave. Dr Traynor communicated with my 12 year old son in a clear and kind way and engaged him in the process of medical consent and advocacy in a way that built my son’s agency and confidence. We returned a week later for the blood test and Dr Traynor took his time and encouraged questions. Had an amazing experience at the clinic! In my third trimester and found it difficult to get into a medical clinic that will administer an iron transfusion with monitoring as advised by the hospital. Dr Traynor & Nurse Rebel were able to administer the infusion and provide foetal ultrasound heart monitoring for peace of mind in this clinic which made me feel safe with that added precaution! Had such a wonderful experience at Shire Family Medical for my iron transfusion. I’m currently pregnant in my 3rd trimester and was having difficulty finding a medical practice that would assist in giving me the transfusion, however the staff promptly booked me in and monitored the baby’s foetal heart rate during and after the procedure using an ultrasound. If you’re pregnant and need an iron transfusion, this is the place to go!! Highly recommend, 10/10 for the whole process :).
The best medical practice which I would recommend to anyone needing medical care in the area. The staff are great and always feel like my concerns are addressed at every visit!
