The previous review from Lynn in 2014 says it all. Apparently nothing has changed! Completely unprofessional staff, unsanitary conditions everywhere, shocked that they are still in business!!

I have my mother at The Forum at Brookside and she has been there now since January, 2018. Care for her in my home just was not possible any longer with her loss of mobility and other health issues which existed. Though we always would love to have a one on one ultimate care scenario for a parent, it is just not possible. I would have to say that considering the realities of nursing home care and the burdens on those who work there, this is as good as it gets. I have to say that the personalities of those who work at the For... read more

This place is a DUMP, and I can assure you NOT well run and no-one cares..the people they hire are people who would NOT be hired by any reputable hospital or assisted living facility anywhere else!. residents are hanging off wheel chairs, smells of urine, dirty everthing, horrible food......my mother was there for a short while..our family was desperate to get her somewhere affordable and close..what a mistake. she nearly died from neglect!. We took her out and she is in another state with a brother and thriving at a fabulou... read more

This assisted living is sad. Since they got a new director this year, Mark Kane, it has all gone down hill. It's no longer a loving cozy home anymore. Management has made things very sterile and it feels like you are at a "one size fits all" medical facility. It's such a shame for the current residents and the CNAs and Med Techs that are working to keep up with the demands of management. Five Star needs to find a new director fast.

I have been a healthcare professional in the area, including a year as a representative of a resource guide for seniors. I have worked with every large assisted living and skilled nursing facility in Palm Beach County, and Barrington Terrace is among the best. They have a dedicated team of professionals who are truly caring people, and I have recommended them to many families, all of whom thanked me for the recommendation. They are the only community that offers both assisted living and memory care along with skilled nursing... read more

My mother is a resident and I can not be more please with the services provided. Living at home she called me everyday bored. Now I'm the one having to call and check-in on her! She plays lots of card games and goes the the entertainment. I came for a Casino night event they had and they served chocolate covered strawberries with champagne! Really a treat this place is.

We placed my dad here in the Locked Alzheimer's ward. 2012. In 5 weeks he lost 12 lbs and "escaped" over an 8 foot fence two times. At the time, there were 3 new people in the facility as managers or supervisors. We were told that there would be activities during the day as their. "Road to rediscovery " program. The activities were offered only in the regular senior living side. The Alzheimer's side was the forgotten side, no pun intended. Several times my sister went by to find that the staff had not rounded up my dad for m... read more

My mother is 88 years old and has been a resident for 6 months. The facility is very clean and odor free. The staff is always very courteous and personal. They are always talking to residents as well their guests. It gives me peace of mind knowing my mom is taken care if so well.
