Worst Shipley's I've ever been to. We arrived later on a Sunday and asked for 1/2 doz glazed and chocolate. We got home and only had the chocolate donuts. Also, when we asked for other donuts (that we could see) the person working the counter said they need their stock to last all day. So this place doesn't want to sell their donuts? I'll go elsewhere from now on.
I absolutely love Shipley donuts. Anyone who knows me knows I am their #1 fan, but the chocolate filling tasted more like pudding than I expected. I know my chocolate filled donuts and that batch was not to the standards I know Shipley has. I will try them again but this time it missed the mark. 2/22 update: what a disappointment. Absolutely unacceptable experience. The owner’s behavior was blatantly disrespectful and unprofessional (if it’s the Chinese dude that looks like the main character from squid games) I watched him joke, smile, and treat white customers warmly, but the moment it was my turn, the attitude flipped completely — cold, rude, dismissive, and outright hostile for no reason. I ordered a Mocha iced coffee. The coffee was awful. I thought maybe I was imagining it until I read another review that mentioned the same. It tastes like chemicals or unfiltered water. Or like they haven’t cleaned the coffee machine since the store opened. Gross. Poor service from older male cashier. I paid $7 for a small donut and gross coffee. Kind of expensive.
