Very pleasant place to stay
Great location, delicious food, and great service!
Beautiful setting on the Kalamazoo river. The room was very clean, and had everything needed, even a refrigerator! Receptionist , Mazy, was very sweet and helpful. The room was ready ahead of time. which was really a wonderful and appreciated surprise. There is a restaurant and bar right on site, and those employees were also very sweet and helpful. Very quiet facility as well!
This was 2nd year staying over the 4th of July weekend and we loved it. Staff from the motel and the Barge are beyond friendly and accomadating. My only complaint is that the fireworks were not on the water this year, like last year, but wherever they shot them off from, the trees in the park next door, obstructed most of our view. I know it's not the motel's fault but if any way you guys can talk with the Town Council to have them trim the trees or move them back to the water, that would be fabulous!! Ship & Shore is a campy, retro nautical-themed hotel in an excellent location in Saugatuck. The pool area is great and the morning breakfast is a nice touch! The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is very nice! During the high season, parking can be a challenge, so you can't automatically assume you'll be in the front lot. We've been to Saugatuck many times, but this was our first visit to the Ship & Shore We'll be back!
