Don't Waste Your Time or Money!!!!!!! Had dinner at the Mt. Vernon at the Ship last night (10/15/2009). The food was over cooked, not properly seasoned and quality of the product sub-par. The wait staff inexperienced and at times down right rude. Our party of 6 arrived promptly for our 6:30 reservation, ordered drinks, apps and entry. We should have known there was an issue here when our drinks were served several at a time rather than the waitress carrying them all on one tray. Nice Place This was a different dining experience-The outside of the restaurant looks like a ship.The menu was large primarily of seafood which is fine with me -It's my favorite. We had crab cakes and mussels which were really good. The mussels were really spicy. Then we had the seafood casserole which was a bit disappointing-a little too salty and could have had more seafood in it. It was fun but all in all I think I will pass on another dinner there.
Ship Restraunt is good The Ship on Route 1 south is a cute ship shaped restaurant that is mostly sea food which was very good according to my family but Im a land lover and ordered a burger which was good too
