Formerly known as a tavern , the Ship Inn was a beautiful amalgamation of the Georgian and Federal architectural styles that was spread over 1.2 acres (0.49 ha) of land. This structure that originally housed a tavern was in operation until 1854. Later, in the 20th Century, one saw an evolution of a restaurant in this structure. Always good I have eaten here with business associates for dinner more than once. There is a good selection, and always a special. I usually pick a fish choice, and the desserts are yummy.
Add to strings attached I found out later that the cook, took my steak out of the trash can after it was returned to the kitchen after being dropped on the floor. It was reheated and served to me, makes me sick.
dinner with strings attached I took my wife to the Ship Inn for her birthday. When dinner was served my steak was dropped on the carpet. . The waitress had " another " steak cooked by the chef. My " other " steak came out in less than 5 minutes, very fast cooking. On my second bite I pulled out a 4 inch green thread from my mouth, my next bite was so over cooked I couldn't chew it and it got stuck in my throat.My wife and a lady at the next table had to assist me because I was choking.
