Came here as part of a residential treatment program. Also should be said that Horses are terrifying animals. Worked with Steph and Lindsey and they were both really great human beings. Caring, trustworthy and supportive. Also made me look a little deeper. I picked Oreo as the horse to work with - mainly because I was told he was great with kids. Overall a great experience. As I move forward I hope to be able to come back and muck some stalls for everyone.
Shining Hope Farms Mt. Holly is my happy place. Working with our sweet clients, loving on our magnificent horses, and spending time with the amazing staff and other volunteers brings so much joy to my week.
Great place to ride horses and help around the barn! The horses are awesome and the place is very nice. It’s a great place to volunteer!
I Go Here Every Friday For Horseback Riding, And It Is A Good Place! I Have Ridden My First Horse When I Was Probably 2 Years Old, And This Is Kind Of Unrelated, But I Tried To Order A Real Life Clysdale On EBay When I Was Pretty Young, I Asked Mom For The Password To Buy It, She Thought It Was A Breyer Toy, But When She Looked At what I was trying To buy, I Said Something along the lines of “I don’t get the problem, it says that they deliver it to your doorstep” after mom pointed out that it was $25,000.
