First I want to say that I think this doctor is very knowledgeable, but that really doesn't matter if he's unavailable and not actually researching your case. I waited to meet with the doc over a month because his profile says he's focused on a condition that my last doctor told me I might have. Dr. Lakhani was very helpful explaining why I had some chronic gastro issues. He also explained some simple changes as to how to treat my on / off condition and I have not had any problems since my initial consultation with him. He alleviated a lot of the concerns and mind games that had been playing in my head before I spoke with him. He has a calm demeanor and really good energy. My husband had a colonoscopy and it went well. But Dr. Lakhani was dismissive and uninterested about treatment by my husband’s oncologist for a specific difficult to treat medical condition that a gastroenterologist ideally would also be involved in or kept up to date on. So fine for the procedure but nothing else.
If you need a gastroenterologist, look no further than Dr. Lakhani. He is professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He explains procedures clearly and answers questions in a way that puts the patient at ease. I highly recommend his practice.
