I had three sessions with ShiftGrit in 2023 and it was the worst experience I've ever had with therapy and a complete waste of money. The therapist I had told me their method of therapy was the only kind that actually worked (which is when I knew it was over). She was of the belief that in 100% of cases, depression is only ever caused by childhood trauma and was very critical of me not being able to recall specific childhood memories on the spot during a 50 minute session. I will make it simple. I was treated with such kindness and care. I felt I could trust there team of councelors to help me through my tough times and through the days I wanted to give up. They helped me to ground myself and grow through my problems and appreciate my life and loved ones. I want to say thank you for being a light though my darkness.
The protocol seemed interesting when I found it on line, but didn't get a chance to begin it. We had three sessions and won't be back. The environment is concrete, white walls. They have a complex Rubik's cube in the waiting room - not at all conducive to creating an open and secure mindset. In short - A TOTALLY UNWELCOMING, boarder-line INAPPROPRIATE, environment. came here to see the intern therapist niloy, it was my first time trying therapy and it went amazing! made me really comfortable and provided me with very helpful tools going forward. very affordable and inviting space. would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try it out!
Hands down the best in the business! I’ve worked with Andrea for the past eleven years and she has positively changed my life in more ways than one. Shift’s processing has dismantled limiting beliefs I’ve had, helped me work through trauma and given me tools to navigate life’s ever changing landscaping.
