They were paid for a day and a half of work, for a four person team. There were only three people, as the foreman left within minutes of arriving and did not return until the end of the day. Only one person was cutting trees, the other two stood around for hours at the wood chipper. My husband was cutting down smaller trees and shrubs in the back yard and putting them in the wood chipper, while the two men stopped and commented on how hard he was working.
