food was yum but ordered an appetizer, they gave it to my friend and called it the wrong thing so she ate it and I didn’t get any food at all until the very end of the meal. Even when I asked about it they seemed bothered by my question and tip was included in the cost so I paid so much more especially considering the mistake.
Shi Miao Dao holds a special place for me—it was my very first restaurant visit after moving to Ithaca. My husband took me to Collegetown on a weekend, and we walked in without any plan at all, which made it feel even more special. We tried the Spicy Beef Brisket Rice Noodles, and as a spice lover, I absolutely loved it—rich, comforting, and perfectly bold. The service was attentive and welcoming, and overall we had a really great time. A spontaneous visit that turned into a memorable first food experience in Ithaca.
