If you are a woman, you may be terribly disappointed with Dr Okuhara. She will not give you an order for a mammogram. She will not do a Pap smear. She will not answer postmenopausal questions. I have never had a yearly physical fully dressed, so I knew this would not be a physical in the real sense of the word . Having been a patient of Dr. Chryl Okuhara for over a year I thought I had found a good GP. Unfortunately she is difficult to reach and for some time had a totally inept receptionist who did not follow up on patient requests and needs. Twice I was seriously ill and could not reach my own Dr.and then after 4 calls I was then told the next appointment was in 6 weeks ?! No one covered for her when she was on an extended vacation.?? I was a patient of Dr Guthrie and Dr okahara took his patients when he moved on. I was happy until recently I moved and had to find a lab for fasting blood work prior to an appointment. ( I had my pancreas removed and low sugar is an issue for me. ) The request was not being received at the lab and when I called Dr okahara office to have it sent another way except fax..she said she would send it again. I have been calling this office for months, and they never answer the phone. Would have loved to have a great doctor as the other reviews say, but I have no idea how anyone gets a hold of them.
