After being moved around a lot my parents lived their last years at Sherwood. It is close by. The place is always spotless.The food is fresh and customized for residents special needs. After initially being negative about being moved there my mother said: "Isn't this a beautiful home away from Home?" The limited number of rooms keeps things manageable. My wife works there and I got to meet the family. They are such sweet people. Respect your elders. They are VERY well taken care of and my lady was out singing to them yesterday. So I'm buying her a mandolin and she can add some music to the vocals. Heck.... Ill bring my guitar over and serenade!
If I ever had to place my parents in a nursing home this is the place they are so good at what they do and love and care for there residents they are work as a wonderful team and show lots of love and respect to each other and there residents I love this place
My Mother was a resident for 2 years at Sherwood and I couldn't imagine her anywhere else. I definitely recommend it to anyone who needs residential care. It has a small homey atmosphere with staff who care about the residents as family. My mom was in a nursing home where she was propped up in front of a TV and left alone. At Sherwood she was never alone. I never had to worry that she was unattended or that her needs were unmet. It was the next best thing to her own family.
