This doctor seems to engage in a lot of borderline unethical practices towards her patients. My daughter was seeing her for her first pregnancy. My daughter, rightfully so, had a lot of questions, but Dr. Cousins was dismissive on several occasions during doctor visits. She also dropped her as a patient without notice when my daughter was 27 weeks, canceling her screening for gestational diabetes and a follow up genetics screening. Terrible service. I don’t usually like leaving negative reviews, especially for a Black woman–owned practice, because I chose this office believing the care would feel more intentional and patient-centered. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been my experience. Communication is very poor. I submitted lab testing on February 8, and as of January 8 I still have not received any follow-up or results. I can’t say it enough, Dr. Cousins is the best OBGYN in the country; she is REAL. Dr. Cousins will be direct, honest, and understanding, but she will not sugarcoat anything. She will always take the time to answer any questions you may have and share resources.
