While Sheridan fencing academy does a good job actually teaching all ages fencing their administrative skills are terrible. Class sizes seem too big and they always seem disorganized. The private lessons never happen at the time you sign up for them. We have waited over an hour for a 15 minute private lesson. So as long as you have plenty of extra time on the back end of when the class is supposed to end or when the lesson is supposed to happen you will be fine. If you want your kid to excel in a sport, pick a sport and a training spot that they will love. Love the sport — learn the sport — by having fun gaining skill, competence and confidence. Does it sound like I think Sheridan Fencing Academy is great? Yes. My daughter has trained with Jason -- about 9 years and now fences for MIT — at NCAA championships. It's a rave.
