I did not feel like the Dr took me seriously and even after explaining that certain medications do not affect me as they affect other people, yet the Dr still prescribed me basically extra strong benadryl. I don't pay 100s a month in health insurance and a 90 Co pay to see a Dr for benadryl. My mom has Parkinson’s and was referred to Dr. Swader last year. My mom is 77 years old and in a wheelchair full time. She relies on me to take her to doctor appointments which I have to take off work to do. On February 10th my mom had a long scheduled appointment with her cardiologist in Birmingham and also had an appointment with Dr. Swader at Marshall north in Arab that same day. Dr shader is the most kindest sweetheart and best nuro doctor my son has ever been to.
I would give a negative star for staff if I could. What kind of people will let a person go without medication to prevent seizures. The staff knowing that prior authorizations are needed and waits until the patient is out of medications to get it done. Who does nothing to assist the patient to help prevent them from going through having a seizure without their medications. If you where my staff in my office you wouldn't have a job. You are there to assist patients and help in their healthcare needs.
