The front desk receptionist Cheryl was one of the kindest people. She checked us in quickly and was just so pleasant and helpful. In the morning when we left she even gave me directions. Such a wonderful human. The room was great there were no issues checking in. Such a wonderful experience.
Here on work trip.Not spending my own money made it tolerable. AC is cold. And water is hot with good pressure. Sheets are rough and facility is in dire need of refresh. Tub fills while taking shower , sheets are rough, toilet constantly running- handle jiggle didn’t work. Restaurant and bar not open. Gym was workable and allowed for a workout. However , no AC in it. Felt like a zombie hotel. Empty and in bad need of a renovation. Imagine a Super 8 motel in a Sheraton Hotel's clothing. If properly renovated could be a 4 star hotel again. Couldn't wait to check out after two nights.
Air conditioning broken, or at least never went below 81. Resonance with all the post apocalyptic feel reviews already written. The 'sign shadow' of 'Sheraton' on the building's facade says it all. I looked out my window and was jealous of the homeless i could see below. At least they could smoke to ease their discomfort.
My stay at the Plaza Hotel fell far below any reasonable standard. I am not a particularly demanding traveler, but the conditions made the three-day visit extremely uncomfortable. - The most serious issue was the lack of air-conditioning. My room remained between 77 and 80 degrees throughout my stay. Without a dusty fan kindly provided by a young woman at the front desk, sleeping would have been very difficult.
