Ik people have stigmas and valid fears about coming to places like these but 98% of the staff genuinely are caring good people. I have severe ptsd, there were moments where I didn’t feel safe due to other patients but the staff did the best they could to help everyone feel at ease during those moments. This facility claims to serve underserved populations with grace. This is a lie. My friend was "categorically denied" at this location due to their seizure disorder. Before even reaching intake, a blonde nurse came to tell us that they "can't provide care to someone who has had a seizure in the past 6 months". The problem with this is that my friend has medication resistant epilepsy. Meaning such a requirement is near impossible to meet.
