They used to be a 5-star marine store. Not Anymore. Owner passed, new ownership and direction. Store hours are ridiculous, inventory is being reduced. The new owners will likely kill off the entire pleasure boat side. The Biden Harris economy has wrecked this big time as well.
I call this review the “death of a great marina”. For more than 20 years I have had Shepler’s haul out, store, and launch my sailboat but the recent sale of the company to the Hoffmann family changed that. They have initiated a storage contract that includes provisions like waiving their liability for negligence, even if from the work of their employees! They agreed to order parts and replace/install part in boat. Had the boat sailed over to their location from another part of Michigan, only to find out once there that they didn’t order the part and didn’t intend to do the work for us. The just changed mind and didn’t bother to notify us. Manager hung up multiple times and now we have a serious problem trying to find a motor replacement for our boat. The boat is now stranded. Do not work with these people, they do not have any business integrity and are extremely disrespectf... read more
