Wonderful short hike to falls but if you keep going to end up by the bays that all the boaters like to hang out at. Pretty cool site to see. Recommend!
Hiking down to lake George via shelving rock falls trail we noticed three pools. The first two were too small to take a dip in. However, the last one was just big enough…. Water temperature in late July was very nice (70’s maybe). The bottom was very rocky and bearable to walk. Spent about 20 minutes here. The hike to lake George was another 15 minutes or so, very easy trail and much more “worth it”-spent about 4 hours at LG swimming, picnicking and relaxing.
