I recently visited this place. I was very impressed with the staff and the facilities. I was warmly welcomed to walk around and ask questions. If there are any veterans in the area, looking for a place to live and looking for a fresh start. I highly recommend looking into this organization.
I was requested by the Veteran community to leave a review. To be brief. The managers Dave R. And Domenica C., utilize the recorded audio and visual security cameras to spy on residents. There is no privacy or dignity in the unethical manners to which they use their methods to defile the vulnerability and trust I seen in the eyes of every veteran who has resided there. The Shelton Veterans Village is a communal living situation specifically for veterans. I never saw a "manager" to talk to but it seems each veteran has a small duplex for himself, 750-1000csq ft, with a common kitchen. There are separate refrigerator space for each room. We served a Thanksgiving Dinner to about 20 veterans the day we were there.
I live here and it's totally great!! State of the art kitchen, my own little space to call home, and a reasonable amount of privacy.. All at a great price.. Can't beat it with a big stick.. Oh yeah, a huge garden which will be producing much more next year!!
My friend is facing homelessness and they said if he stays at a hotel it invalidates his application that’s ridiculous so he needs to stay on the streets or he won’t get help. That’s disgusting
