The terminal has an amazing history. LaGuardia airport history is incredible. It was originally built when Major LaGuardia was taking a flight back to New York and refused to get off the plane because they landed in New Jersey and his ticket said New York. In the late 30's LaGuardia pushed to build an airport for New York in Queens.In the 40's it was one of the only airports that offered water landing for planes coming over from Europe.
