I tried to test drive an Ioniq 5 BEV. I was told by Shaun from Shellharbour city motors that if I wanted to just see the car, I’d need to drive to Campbell town which was unreasonable. If I wanted to test drive the car they would need to have their demonstrator delivered so I could test drive it. Nice and pleasant service experience. My daughter asked me to drop the car for service. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a nice young reception officer. She listened to my additional request and said that we will get a complimentary car wash. While waiting for my bus, I made a coffee and enjoyed sipping through and escaping scorching heat. Delicious coffee. In the evening got a message that car is ready and things were done to our satisfaction. They even ordered a part to fix a small loose body panel that we reported. We were excited to purchase our first new car but after dealing with the salesman Phil for an hour we were emotionally drained. After the constant lies, cheap sales tactics and belittling our trade-in vehicle we were totally turned off in proceeding with the purchase and decided to go elsewhere.
