I recommend Dr. Bette Sheldon Long (and Brainspotting) for anyone who has experienced trauma, whether recently or long ago. I have worked with Bette personally on my trauma for sexual assault, and based on that work (I am already so much better), I have recommended her to others -- who have thanked me and told me that she was "incredibly helpful." I made the mistake of hiring Bette Sheldon Long. She hurt our family with her unconscious and divisive behavior!!!! She gets too intimate with her patients and the side of the family she chooses to align with (mine in this case) which creates more conflict. She missed the mark big time with my son and didn’t help him at a time when he really needed help.
