Shelburne Farms is my most favorite place on earth. I adore staying at the Inn. The building is beautiful as is the furniture. I love looking into all the guest bedrooms when they are unoccupied during our stay...such a step back in time! The grounds of the farm are gorgeous and amazing. And the farm has such wonderful camps for kids...my daughter has enjoyed many times. This place is a must visit.
I went to the farm with my son and his two daughters, ages 4+ and almost three. We were fortunate to have a public library pass to help cover the cost. My nephew and his wife and two daughters, ages 17 and almost 13 were with us. What a wonderful time we had. The little ones gathered eggs, picked up chickens, petted young turkeys and goats and sheep, groomed the horse and milked the cow. They were so excited about everything they did. The young people who guided them were excellent at their jobs and kept the kids of all ages... read more
beautiful grounds. an awesome place to walk and view scenery
Absolutely breathtaking view with fabulous food and spectacular service. I would return in a heart beat!
Maybe the higher priced tours are better, the $8 wasn’t worth it. Not much to see and pretty much everything closed by 2:00 even though they are supposed to be open till 5. Just a lot of things to buy inside. Pretty buildings, but you don’t see much of them. Pretty trails but better for free other places. Cute, but not a place I would return to or recommend. Younger kids would love but not much for older kids ( above 8) or adults.
Shelburne Farms is a very special piece of history in Vermont. I was treated to a personal tour by none other than Thomas (the monger!) Perry, who walked us through the history, and also how the buildings are used today. We saw baby cows, cows being milked, cheese being made, and of course enjoyed a few samples of the various ages of Cheddar, too! Two thumbs up for Tom and Shelburne Farms!!
Amazing wonderful love Shelburne Farms The breakfast was fresh and delicious.
Great place for a long relaxing walk with the family, amazing views and nice visiting the farm. Definitely going back. 😉
