We had a very memorable last Sunday of August on this boat tour and island excursion. We came in all the way from NYC for the day, and Captain John, Lume, and Ryan made sure we had a great time! They were friendly, knowledgeable, and kept everyone safe. When we hit stiff winds, Captain John reassured all of the passengers that we were totally safe, which was helpful because someone in our party is not able to swim. One of the best experiences in Fairfield County! Been wanting to do it for years and worth the wait. Beautiful island (bring extra mosquito spray for the wooded areas, but main areas are fine). We spent almost 2 hours exploring, swimming, picnic, etc. Captain Mike was great w the kids questions, etc.
Great experience. They do tell you to get there 30 minutes before the time. They were generous enough to wait for some irresponsible people who were very late. It’s a great experience to get dropped off at the island and have a nice picnic with tables and shade provided. Beautiful tour of the lighthouse and amazing views. Parking was bad to find around the area. Great information given. Bring snacks and drinks
Do not waste your time or money. Book the Maritime Cruise instead. More interactive for kids and they never cancel. I get one day off from work per month. My kids were looking forward to this. After paying to park we arrived and the place was empty. After calling nearly a dozen times I finally got a hold of someone that told me “oh we cancelled it”. No prior notification. No email. No text. No phone call. I was then told “you’ll get your money back eventually” and I was hung up on.
Best time ever!! Great staff!!
