Dr. Sheffield was my attending physician whenI visited the emergency room ar Baylor Iving after I fell and hurt my hand and knee. He ordered an X-Ray of both my knee and hand and after reviewing the X-rays, determined that I had minor fractures, but he could not do anything - I would have to make an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon. I was given a brace for my hand, a Velcro brace for my knee and a walker - all billed through Baylor. I had as pleasant visit as it could be at Baylor ER in Irving. We got right in and was out of there within two hours. The front staff could be more friendly. When people go there I'm sure they don't feel good and it would be nice to be greeted by a friendly face. The previous review told how he had to wait 6 hours. It all depends on what time you go. I went at five on Sunday afternoon. They did say Monday's were bad. Anyway in Dr Sheffields defense I believe he had some kind of eye problem. Maybe something he was born with. ... read more

I went into the hospital for a time-sensitive injury and waited for over 6 hours before I was taken to a room, and only because I reminded the staff that I was still there. Sheffield came in, half asleep, after I had been waiting in his room for over an hour to tell me nothing I hadn't told him. I was then given a bill for $634 three months after I went, despite the fact that I was told my insurance would pay for it. It's doctors like Sheffield that have destroyed my faith in American medicine.
